A CRO Rebuild That Turned a Weak Website Into a Quote-Generation Engine

Short explanation of problem

The original website wasn’t just “a bit outdated” , it was actively leaking leads. The design felt unfinished and low-trust, and the page flow didn’t guide visitors toward a quote.

Major issues we identified:

  • Low-credibility first impression: The homepage opened with a sparse hero and weak messaging, giving a “template site” vibe instead of a premium contractor feel.
  • No clear conversion path: There was no strong above-the-fold quote form, and the primary CTA wasn’t supported by a clear value proposition or urgency.
  • Chaotic trust elements: Review widgets and badges appeared in multiple spots without structure, making the page feel cluttered rather than credible.
  • Unclear service positioning: Services were listed, but the site didn’t communicate why this company is the safe choice (materials, installation standards, warranty, compliance, etc.).
  • Weak visual consistency: Spacing, typography, and section design shifted as you scrolled, which quietly erodes trust for high-ticket home projects.
  • Mobile experience felt like a wall of content: On phones, visitors had to scroll too far to find a meaningful next step, causing drops from local search traffic.

Result: Low quote volume, high bounce, and a site that didn’t match the professionalism required for safety-focused glass installs.

Our proccess

We redesigned the website as a conversion funnel: instant trust, instant action, and a clear path from “I’m curious” to “book my estimate.”

Strategic changes implemented:

  • High-converting hero + quote form above the fold: Form added directly in the hero so visitors can request an estimate immediately.
  • Stronger brand presence: Clean gold/neutral palette, upgraded typography, and a layout that feels premium and consistent.
  • Trust signals with hierarchy: Warranty/safety icons positioned where users make decisions (right under the hero message).
  • Service clarity upgrade: Residential / Commercial / Railing Systems shown in a cleaner structure that communicates scope at a glance.
  • Gallery used as proof: Added an image strip to instantly show quality and reduce hesitation.
  • Local relevance: “Areas Served” structured into a readable grid with a single CTA, supporting DFW intent traffic.
  • FAQ kept for objections + SEO, but integrated cleanly: Reduced visual noise while keeping helpful info.

In the first 30 days after launch (with basic tracking + consistent traffic), the new CRO structure produced major gains:

  • Quote Requests: 9 → 28 / month (+211%)
  • Conversion Rate: 1.4% → 4.6% (3.3x)
  • Bounce Rate: 71% → 44% (-38%)
  • Average Session Duration: 0:41 → 2:03 (+200%)
  • Form Completion Rate: 8% → 27% (+237%)
  • Mobile Leads: +260% (biggest lift from the above-the-fold form)
  • Cost Per Lead (paid traffic): down ~41% while improving lead quality

Bottom line: We stripped out the “template” feel, rebuilt trust in the first screen, and added a conversion path that works on mobile. The result was a premium-looking brand experience that behaves like a lead system, turning local traffic into quote requests instead of bounces.
