The Challenge

StickerYou’s organic growth was being constrained by a combination of technical SEO weaknesses, structural inconsistencies, and content gaps.

• Several pages were missing H1 tags, while others had multiple H1s, weakening topical clarity and diluting keyword relevance.
• The site also had 80 internal broken links, redirect chains, broken redirects, external link issues, and 30 broken backlinks, all of which impacted crawl efficiency, user experience, and authority flow.

In addition, primary pages were missing from the sitemap while non-indexable URLs were included, creating indexation inefficiencies.

• Mobile speed performance was flagged as a high-priority issue, limiting engagement and rankings under mobile-first indexing.
• Structured data implementation was incomplete, with gaps in Organization and Local Business schema.
• Beyond technical issues, the website lacked sufficient informative blog content, restricting top-of-funnel visibility and internal linking opportunities needed to strengthen overall SEO performance.

The Solution

We implemented a comprehensive technical cleanup and growth-focused optimization strategy to rebuild StickerYou’s SEO foundation.

• Heading structures were corrected with keyword-rich H1 tags and improved hierarchy.
• Internal link audits resolved broken links, updated redirect targets, and reclaimed lost link equity from broken backlinks.
• Sitemap issues were corrected by adding priority pages and removing non-indexable URLs to improve crawl efficiency and indexation clarity.

• Mobile speed was optimized to enhance Core Web Vitals performance, and structured data was strengthened through improved schema implementation.
• To address the content gap, we launched targeted blog content focused on high-intent informational queries such as how to put a picture on a shirt at home, how to remove sticker from door, how to make patches for clothes, and how to remove embroidery patch.
• These additions expanded topical authority, supported internal linking, and improved keyword reach.
• The strategy was reinforced with on-page optimizations and CTR-focused title and meta improvements to increase visibility and drive higher click-through rates.

The Results

Comparing the two six month periods (10/12/24 to 4/11/25 vs 4/12/25 to 10/12/25), StickerYou held essentially flat on total clicks at about 697K to 698K, while total impressions climbed from 34.3M to 43.1M, an increase of 8.8M. Average position improved from 18.3 to 17.3, showing stronger overall visibility across the index.

• At the query level, core terms continued to drive volume, with some showing gains and others showing CTR pressure.
• For example, “sticker maker” grew from 95,988 to 103,912 clicks, and “sticker maker online” grew from 23,427 to 23,946 clicks, while “custom stickers” declined from 44,088 to 32,229 clicks even as impressions rose from 489,449 to 559,306, indicating higher competition and a need for stronger SERP messaging and landing page alignment.

Overall, the campaign succeeded in expanding reach and improving average rankings, while setting up the next phase to lift CTR and recapture click share on the highest intent terms.

Keyword Ranking Expansion

Following the technical cleanup, structural improvements, and content expansion, StickerYou experienced a significant increase in keyword visibility across Google search results. Over the course of the year, 328 tracked keywords improved in rankings, reflecting broad gains in organic positioning.

A major portion of these keywords moved into high-value positions. 147 keywords reached the Top 3 positions, while 275 keywords ranked on the first page of Google, dramatically increasing the brand’s visibility for high-intent searches. This growth was supported by improved crawlability, stronger internal linking, and expanded topical coverage across both product and informational queries.

Overall search footprint improved across the entire keyword set, with 307 keywords ranking within the top two pages and 316 within the top three pages. In total, 328 tracked keywords now rank within Google’s top 10 pages, demonstrating consistent upward momentum and a stronger presence across the search landscape.

These improvements significantly expanded StickerYou’s ability to capture organic demand for custom product searches such as custom stickers, custom temporary tattoos, die cut stickers, iron on transfers, and other personalization-focused queries.

AI Visibility & Citations

StickerYou’s search presence also expanded beyond traditional search engines into AI-powered discovery platforms. As AI assistants increasingly become a source of product research and recommendations, StickerYou experienced substantial growth in how often its pages are referenced or surfaced in large language model responses.

Over the last year, StickerYou accumulated 447 AI citations in Google’s AI Overview, with the number of referenced pages growing to 125. Visibility within conversational AI platforms also expanded significantly, with 723 citations across ChatGPT referencing 260 different pages from the website.

Additional growth was recorded across other major AI systems. Perplexity generated 571 citations across 107 pages, while Google Gemini produced 312 citations referencing 219 pages. Even emerging integrations such as Microsoft Copilot contributed 78 citations across 37 pages.

Brand Radar Improvements

StickerYou also experienced strong growth in brand visibility across AI-powered search experiences. Data from Ahrefs Brand Radar shows a clear upward trend in how frequently the brand appears in AI Overviews and AI-generated responses throughout the year.

At the beginning of the tracking period, StickerYou had minimal presence in AI-generated search results. As technical improvements, content expansion, and topical authority increased, the brand began appearing more frequently in AI-powered answers and summaries. Mentions steadily increased through the year, accelerating significantly in the second half as more pages became eligible to be cited by AI systems.

By the end of the period, StickerYou was appearing hundreds of times across AI-generated search responses, reflecting stronger recognition of the website as a trusted source for customization-related queries. Alongside the rise in mentions, AI-driven search impressions also increased dramatically, peaking at over 200,000 impressions, indicating that StickerYou content is now being surfaced to a much wider audience within AI-powered search interfaces.
